Installing a C4 suspension this summer.

C3 > brick heavy parts, stone age design. I know what my choice will be.
Marck"
Marck we posted about this subject the other day. I looked at the Paul Newman site and it does look awsome on the C-3 frame picture.
The drawbacks are the wheels have to be changed to the later negative style and the frame either has to be altered or chopped off and re-fabricate the front rails.
Can anyone give the details of accomplishing this?
I really don't want to go to the negative wheels at all. Just something about them that looks out of place on a C-3.IMHO
I think I'll stick with the Jeep steeering box conversion, tubular A-arms and complete monospring system. Then the rear 6 link with the OSTA's. Jim

Part of the problem lies in the spindle itself, it sticks out way more than ours. I wouldn't mind the stock spindle,a t least you'd have the later control arms. As for stock calipers, I'm on the way to install my wilwood Integra 4 calipers, compared to stock they're featherlight (billet)
.. I still don't have anything definitive.. hopefully soon.

. . . just lots of money! :yesnod:
but if your going with C4 suspension setup, saving money probably isn't one of your top objectives.
Comparing off the shelf C3 component cost to C4 conversion:
All new Force 10 rotors and calipers $2,200
VBP Perf. plus pkg. 2,100
Steeroids R&P 1,100
New HD Half shafts, Differential etc. 1,600
I'm not sure what the C4 components cost, but after the cost to have your frame modified, I gotta believe you can get brand new C4 parts for under $7000. And once you have your frame modified, everything is pretty much bolt on, just like a 94/95 corvette.
If we're patient, someone will develop a C5 frame conversion, but I can't believe that it would be that much better than the C4. Any comments???

I may hae acceess to some C-4 suspension, let me know wht you need. JIM
