Carb problems on a friends car.
Hey guys,
A friend of mine just got an 82 Police issue Malibu with a 305. Well, every time he makes a turn and lets off the gas, his car starts to sputter on the verge of dying. My guess is that it's th carb, but I don't have the slighest clue on what part. Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)

Could be any combination of several things:
-incorrect float height
-wrong idle speed/mixture
-leaking float bowl or fuel wells
Is this a Q-jet? Try a rebuild kit and ensure all adjustments are at stock specifications.

Sounds like a Float problem
