Anybody know how to get the headlights to go down. I have the vacuum pumps completely removed from when I did my engine rebuild, and I have no clue how to hook them back up. They didn't work before the rebuild so i dont know if the vacuum pumps are just completely shot. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Karl
I just registered today, how do i get a picture to pop up under all my posts.
they should guide you through diagnosing the vacuum system. A good tool to have is a hand vacuum pump. That way you can check individual components.
To get a picture you must add it to your signature and you edit that by going to "My Profile" on the left menu bar. If you don't know how to post a picture then you need to have the pic on the web then use the "image" button just below the reply box when you type in a new post. Just place the URL in between the two middle brackets. For example [ IMG]http://www.mypicture.com/me[/IMG] only there wont be a space between the [ and the first I.
Oh yeah, welcome to the forum and hello from a resident of Texas! You aren't too far from me. What year is your car?
This should help with the headlights. http://vetteworks.tripod.com/techdocuments/Vaccum.html
As for the picture you need to have the picture you want to show, hosted on the web somewhere (online photo album kind of thing) I use picture trail http://www.picturetrail.com/register/index.cgi. T
Then click the image button at the bottom
<img src=" the url address for the picture goes here " border=0> T
Then when you post anything your picture will show up . If this isn't enough info go to search on the left hand side of the forum page and search the post archives there should be plenty of info on both of these topics.
Ive done mine and they came out great. I also have the vacuum pump.
I'm just a short drive from you ( east of Waxahachie ), so if you need some help and want to get together just let me know.
Wow, that's a mouth full. Does your picture host allow remote linking? I'm just checking, that isn't your problem. Try viewing your picture in a browser, then right clicking it and going to properties. Highlight the url and paste that in between the IMG brackets. The info you have in there looks like some other link to the image and not the image itself.
