it has potential, and with a trailer :yesnod: it be a good project racecar.
That's what I am thinking. Pull the body off and build it from the frame up to be either a kick azz drag car or an ultimate road racer. Just start at the frame, weld it all up nice and tight, put the body back on, throw in a roll cage, 1 seat and a custom gage panel. Strip out everything that is not needed for safety or for racing. Rebuild the block to a 383 with some nice parts. All the running gear is there, just needs some work. You won't have to worry about the title and it comes with a trailer. Get it all put together for racing and give it a Macco paint job and some numbers.
In 1 year's time that could be on the track looking good and hauling azz.
I wish I would have seen this a few months ago. I could really go for a project like this.
it's scary how much alike we think. race car is the only way to go with that.
BTW, i think the before is :P
bgrice, baldwin motion corvettes were sold from about '67-'68 to '74 (i think). notice in the description it says it might be a baldwin motion or made with baldwin parts? joel rosin will check it out for you and tell you whether it is or not for a small fee, i think it's about $10k. baldwin motion corvettes were the calloways of their day and an actual one is worth a small fortune if it can be confirmed.
I need the trailer, so the car would be a bonus! $3124.00 gets me a 1.5K trailer and a cheap vette to part out. Probably keep the seats though. Any idea what they're out of?
