I built 2 motors in my finished wreck room years ago then got a few guys who didn't know the weight of a bigblock and the 3 of us carried them up the stairs and outside.
I later built a shop and now no parts come in the house.
Your wife is very understand to let you in the house with a firewall. Your floors look beautiful. Nice job on the firewall, Did I mention I like your floors?

I know exactly where you are coming from. :)

I hide new parts too and I often have works in progress on the dining room table.

Who uses dining room tables anyway. :):)

NHVette, do you have a site that documents your project? I am interested to see the whole story, but I don't want to bother you to ask to post it all here.

-edit- I found it http://nhvette.homeunix.com/70vette_pix.htm

I was going to ask you why you decided to remove the clip and firewall. I guess you felt you needed access to fix all the rust.

No, just in the closet and bedroom. :smash: Just T-tops and my new center console. Don't want to scratch it yet.

Reminded of when I was young free, single and living at home. I used to keep my racing kart in the bedroom :D , my mother used to complain about once a month, but nothing too heavy. Handy for the late night rebuilds though.

Mine has voiced her concerns, but has let it go for now.
I just finished washing the firewall, after grinding down all the bonding areas.
It was wet, and the garage was cold. I needed this thing to dry thoroughly
before starting in on the POR-15. Hmmmm - the wood stove is cranked up
nice and toasty - so that's where I brought it. This thing is squeaky clean on
the major surfaces, and does NOT smell like an engine.
Don't forget to wear gloves when you use the POR-15 Like the warning says, no known solvent will take it off. Ask me how I know

I have the same freezing garage problem!! I want to paint my steering colum while the interior is out, but I can't keep the garage warm enough...long enough.
Marriage has it's advantages and disadvantages. I'm not married, so newly arrived boxes of parts get spread all over the living room, as the kitchen oven is cranking out newly painted parts. All this is happening while the dishwasher is churning out freshly cleaned engine parts. This is the one issue where it's great to be king of your own castle, and fair maidens that visit on the weekends to service you are gone by Monday morning!! :auto: Eddie

My mom hates it when i bring parts in to wash or something. My new headers and valve covers sat in my room for 3 months on my desk. She gets on my over and over about them and greasy sinks and that she cant walk in the garage.
