every kid in a Honda or Mustang gets frisky and wants to race you? Holy cow, I came home from a meeting tonight and had 3 cars wanting to make a go of it. I was too tired to pay them any mind and besides.. I got a ticket Sunday so I wasn't about to chance it!
Re: Have you noticed when it gets warm that ..... (RMVette)
I have not had one challenge sense I took off my mufflered side pipes and put hollow pipes on. I guess they are scared of a car running with no mufflers
Re: Have you noticed when it gets warm that ..... (RMVette)
lol ive gotten use to it, I get into races at least 4 times a day (my vette is my daily driver) the racing stoped becuase the word got out that, the vette is fast. Its really funny to see civics pull up and i hit the gas full hell when the light turns green and they see my car almost lift off the ground they know i got em. Now i take the challenge when its a respectible run. one of these days you will be shocked to race a civic with actual performance under the hood. (still only a civic tho)
Re: Have you noticed when it gets warm that ..... (RMVette)
Ricers can only race when its warm because cold weather keeps the performance stickers from adhering to the outside of thier Hondas thus greatly reducing horsepower....
For $6.50, you can double your horsepower.
Just buy Summit part # SUM-G1800
Re: Have you noticed when it gets warm that ..... (RMVette)
I don't pay any attention to people that want to race my Vette. It's not that quick. If they become persistent I'll ask them to wait while I go home and get my little PU. It's a modified Lightning and it is fast.
Re: Have you noticed when it gets warm that ..... (RMVette)
I love to take em now and then, not ricers , but a real challage SS camaro or such. I don't even need to shift with my 0-60 in 4.2 seconds (in 1st gear).. Usually they give up by the time I'm at 40 MPH.. I love these wide ratio trannys. :D I don't condone street racing so I always keep the speed down..
