Does your C3 do this?
When I go to turn on my headlights, I ocassionaly have the **** pull all the way out instead of it stopping at the on posotion. I've seen a few other early 70's C3s that do this, anyone else have this problem?

There is a lock in the switch that should prevent this.
You might check the end of the rod for wear, otherwise there is a button on the switch itself that releases the rod. Might check to see that the button is not stuck in part way.

If the **** and rod pull completly out then the switch is probably bad.The switch has a setpin that locks the rod in place.You should have to depress this pin for the rod to be removed.You may get lucky and just need to replace the rod.Easy and worth a try before replaceing the switch.
