Default ALTERNATOR ? CS130

I have a new alt. its a high amp cs130 the shop told me that it would bolt right in and it did , but i would have to use a pig tail to connect the cs130
to the stock harness well when the car is on the tach go's down( bottoms'out)
but it reads when you hit the gas. the light get brighter as the rpm's go up
now when i disconnet the harness fron the alt. the light are fine and the tach
reads like it alway did. now the the harness on the cs130 has a RED BROWN
BROWN GRAY wire on the harness but the only one that go's into the stock
harness is one of the BROWN WIRE TO THE BROWN ON THE STOCK HARNESS THE RED ONE ON THE STOCK IS NOT USED .AND THE OTHER
WIRES ON THE CS130 ARE SNIPPED AND NOT CONNECTED
many input will help i will be calling the shop to let them know
