Re: Oxygen Sensor (Dalannex)
Here's an update for anybody thinking of going with a heated sensor. Bosch makes a universal, that comes with instructions as to what wire on the sensor is for what, zirconia element and all. I'm not sure what it has for connectors, mainly becasue I will more than likely have to change them to match my car. I am getting a 4 wire, but I imagine they make 3 wire too if you want to go that route. Makes it easier than trying to decipher what wire does what on a different sensor.
i just got a 3 wire from advanced auto for mine $39.95if you want the part number ill go outside and get it its a bosch,it really helped out my motor alot.
its a part #13953 bosch

thanks for the part number -- do you have a wiring schematic (what color wire does what) ?

I wonder what the difference is in these sensors. That part number is for a Ford, I think. Maybe for cross-reference sakes they gave them different numbers but they're the same thing?
Well now I'm going to have to go buy one. Mine runs fine, but the idea that something that simple could make it better is too good to pass up. Good work Chris.
yes it was a 89 ford tbird 3.8 ,i previously was using a 4 wire ford 02 sensor.
Guess we probably all want to know now if it really matters which one is used as long as it fits and is heated and is zirconia... After I saw your post, I searched s'more and one guy said that he bought one for a ZR-1 (like the one I got) and it didn't work for him, so he tried the Ford sensor and it worked great. There was a reply to that saying that the ZR-1 sensor was probably just defective, that it should have worked just fine. This could drive one to drinking!

add in the fact that I am looking for one to run a gage on my truck and the other to run my fuel injection that I will be putting on my Vette. I want to get a heated for the Vette since I am running headers and the sensor will be way out at the reducers. I have to look again but I think my truck may have a place right in the manifold that I can screw one into.

got a part number on that ????
I don't know the part number for sure because i haven't picked it up yet, but if the 40 dollar bosch sensor listed below works that one would be cheaper. All 3 wire sensors have one odd colored wire, that one is the voltage to the ECM, the other two are heater wires.
