the service manual outlines the procedure, but you better be patient. My windows worked perfect until I replaced the weatherstripping. I spent the better part of a Saturday adjusting these. This is touchy and frustrating, but I refused to give up. I have rebuilt most everything on my car, but the most frustrating I have dealt with is those windows, and installing all of the ignition shielding......... :smash: :mad :smash: :mad :smash: :mad :smash: :hurray:

Patience my friend...patience :cuss is what it takes to adjust those windows. I just went through this on my 72...and it wasn't that bad. Study the window tracks and glass stops. Envision how movement of these effects the glass...
Movement of the fore and aft vertical tracks in and out, effects the glass "in and out movement" (tight to T-top weatherstrip or loose) . Movement of the tracks fore and aft, effects the glass "lean" fore or aft (more tword windshield or jamb) . The stops on the top of the tracks effect glass tip. (level with T-top) The terminology used in the AIM & Manual can be confusing...
This can be one of those seat of pants procedures....
Good Luck
Eddie

:iagree:

When I worked on mine, I was moving the channels a little and trying again and again, then I figured that I could leave the bolts just loose enough to grab the glass and move it into position and then retighten the bolts. Things got a little eaiser then.

PS the biggest adjustment was with the little short piece that is parallel to the ground.
