ADVICE, OPINIONS, HELP WANTED
Recently acquired a '71 Roadster. Car was recovered from DEAD storage and has had a tough life, BUT is on it's way back. If anyone in central TN is knowledgeable as to front suspension/steering, and would be willing to take a look at this, I'd be grateful. The plan is to get it road worthy, at least, in time for the Cruise-in.

You can do the majority of the work yourself...all it is remove and replace...start with the calipers....I assume the calipers are factory original, non stainless inserts...if they are stainless, you don't have to do a thing...just bleed the brakes, if not stainless, shop around for the best price, from one of the supporting vendors, remove the old calipers, replace with new assemblies. The next thing you will have to determine if you want to use Dot 5 (Silicone) or Dot 3 or 4. There's been a ton of discussion to the merits of both. Do a search and make your own conclusions.
When the brakes are done, you can replace the tie rods, and the lower ball joints. The uppers hardly ever wear, lone exception, if they've been neglected of grease. Or you can take the car to a reputable frame and front end shop, have them check the condition of your suspension components. The fee you pay for this service may pay off as you may not have to replace parts that you would normaly replace. The shocks may certainly need replacement.
