17" Wheels on a '72 C3
a friend of mine has a '72 and wants to run 17" Torque Thrust II wheels - will they fit and if so, what's the correct tire size?
Thanks for the response.

I'm using a set of Boyd Coddington 17"x8" with 4" stock backspaceing,
they seem to fit fine with no rubbing that I can see.
Tire size is 235/55
this is on a 71 with complete vette brakes suspension, top of wheel opening
at 28"
hope this helps you

i've got the 17" zr1 wheels on my 79'(check out the picture)
go to http://www.americanracing.com they have the application guide right there and they have 17x8"s for the 68-82 vette.
get a set of drag radials and you will be all set.
you will not believe the difference 17" wheels will make on your cars handling.
