Re: Dyno sheets for 427 big blocks?????? (Corey 68)
I finally bought Desktop Dyno, and ran the 496 with the AFR 305's, Crane roller cam with .587/.610 lift, 10.8:1 compression, 850 cfm carb, dual plane manifold, large tube headers, and sidepipes. Here is what it came up with:

Do not hit the N20 at 2000 rpms or you will be picking up pieces that used to be your crank, rods, rings, etc. Best to keep a shot that big above 3500, at least.

If you haven't bought the Hooker's yet check out Stahl Headers as they have a sidemount specifically for raised port heads and from research I have found many of the fitting issues of Hookers are nonexistant with Stahl's. I will probably be going this route when I get mine together. Their header has shorter, equal length primaries with the collecter invisible under the car. Then the 4 inch tube comes out under the frame and runs he length of the car. Alot of the old Midyear and Shark racers used these headers as well as the pretty Red late C3 on the forum from Finland I believe (cant recall the name).

Don't worry, it'll only be for track use, the motor should more than enough for the street. It also won't be on at 2,000 rpm, I'll probably hit it at 4,000rpm. The bottom end will all be forged (pistons, crank, and rods).
