Can"t locate eng miss HELP PLEASE!!!
my eng. idels fine. But when i open up the back two barrells there is a fast missing sound coming from the back 2 barrells. i have replaced everything lars rebuilt the carb had dist. rebuilt, all new ing. parts and fuel pump. don't know what else to try. "71 350/270 auto thanks

Could be a wiped cam lobe on the intake side. Hope not though. But ive heard just what you describe in a way. A sorta popping sound from the carb when you rev it to a higher point. It turned out to be a wiped intake lobe on the cam. You could pull the valve covers and start the engine and look to see if one of the rockers is moving up and down much less than the others. If not then readjust the valves when yur in there.
