Having disconnected most of the computer on my 81, the Torque Converter lock up no longer works. A suggestion is to wire the Torque Converter as per the 80 model, prior to computer, which seems to make sence.Can anybody out there help me with wiring diagram or any other helpfull suggestions :confused:
You should be able to controll the lockup manually with a toggle switch. Run a wire from a fused circut thru a toggle to the appropriate pin on the trans. When in high gear flip the toggle to energize the pin and engage lockup. Do you have the 350C ? Sorry but i dont have any direct expierence with that sys to provide precise detail.
Lock up happens when 12 volts is put to a solenoid valve in the tranny.
You can do the switch if you like or go to B&M's website and get thier switch.

You can run power directly to the TCC, but be careful and use a brake disconnect switch, because if you forget and leave it in lock up it will shutter and stall the engine. Could cause damage also.
Go to ww 700r4.com, they have many ways to hook it into the system and have it lock up automatically.
I would suggest going through a vacuum switch and the brake switch. Then when the engine has high enough vacuum and the brakes aren't on the tranny will lockup. and as soon as you nail it or hit the brakes the lock up will disengage.
