'68 Front Grills
on a '68, are the edges of the louvers on the front grills supposed to be chrome? I've seen this on other cars but my car doesn't have them. Are they supposed to be chrome?

For all of 68 and up to about Jan. 69, the leading edges of all 3 grilles were painted silver, not chrome plated. After Jan. 69, all 3 grilles should be black, BUT there were/are a bunch of mix and match grilles during that time.... silver painted center grill with black outside grilles, etc. Chuck
