I just removed the Edelbrock 1904,and bolted on the Holley 3310.The first problem is the intake heater hose nipple comes out right under the Summit dual feed chrome line,(the one with the built in filter/guage) and hits slightly the fuel line connection. Is there a 90 degree fitting for the heater hose to correct this,or do I head over to Lowes plumbing section to rig a solution.
The other problem is with the PCV connection. The carb installation instructions say to connect the PCV to the PCV connectiopn on the carb.I don't see where they are referring to.So I connected it straight to the intake manifold with a rigged fitting. When the car starts and idles, you can hear the PCV valve clatter like crazy, and of course the idle is worse than ever.
Should the PCV valve be connected to a timed port,or direct manifold source, maybe a bit smaller in size. The one I used could be used for power brakes, but the carb had a power brake outlet,so I used that for the brakes.
Does anyone have pictures of their Holley installation?
This has turned into the simple fix the leak in the bathroom sink senario, where you have to make five trips to the hardware store before you have all the correct parts you need. :banghead: :banghead:
Re: Holley 3310 plumbing problem.....any thaughts? (The Money Pit)
I had the same problem when I had my 3310. I went to the auto parts store and got a 90deg. fitting that worked good and didn't look bubba'd. I'll try to find a pic. I thought the PCV was to be connected to manifold vacuum. The rattling PCV must have something to do with either a vacuum leak, or maybe a timing/tuning issue. Can't help much-I'd just throw money at it for a while and see what happens
This is a pic of the part after I switched to an 1850, but it did clear the chrome fuel feed line I had when I used the 3310. You can see it is flat on the top. I got it from a local independent parts store and have no idea who makes it or what part # it is. If you can't find something like it, I can go down and see if they have another one and send it to you. Good luck!

I wouldn't rearrange a bunch of stuff just so I could have a pressure gauge on my fuel line. I'd just return the part, or make another one from scratch that suits your application. Steel line isn't that hard to work with. Or you can always get another part number from summit that will work
90 degree heater fittings are easy to find. Go to the parts store that sells to mechanics, not riceboys. They can help you fabricate stuff you never thought of. And it won't look bubba.
As for the PCV, you may want to double check your manual on the carb to find the connection point. It should be a 1/2 inch or 3/8 inch fitting nipple.
You can always get a spacer plate with a pcv nipple made into it.

I hace the 3310 but with the Proform body. The vacuum advance plugs into the side outlet and the PVC which I have on the opposite side feeds from the front vacuum port. Bubba plugged my heater core hoses so I don't have that problem.

Been to five places so far,and no luck finding a 90 degree fitting.
1970 Stingray how did you aproach this.Looks like the same fuel line I'm running.
I think it is the same. The heater hose outlets were not an issue for me---my heater core mis disconnected and Bubba plugged then ports. Not that I need a heater for my use. The 90deg fitting sounds like it'd work.
Re: Holley 3310 plumbing problem.....any thaughts? (The Money Pit)
my 850 dp (4873, 4783?) has a vacuum fitting in the rear part of the base. That's what my pvc is connected to. If your brakes are connected to this you might be able to tee this connection. Is your pvc plumbed into a runner or the intake plenum? If it's plugged into a runner, that might explain the rattling. It's prolly getting vacuum on the intake stroke and reversion is making it rattle. Anyway, if pvc is plugged into a runner, it is prolly gonna romp that cylinder. Maybe even make it run lean. Might wanna plug the pvc into the base of carb or intake plenum.
