Last year developed an "air pumping" problem on my Yellow '80 anytime I'd drive it like more than 200mi without using the brakes. Took rotors to a very good machine shop, which helped the problem, but did'nt cure it all the way. So, after reading recommendations on these "O" ring calipers, I decided to get two rear ones for my '80 from Vette Brake Products... Whoa, what a difference-drove the '80 360mi today and that brake pedal has never been firmer and near(or at) the top when braking!!! I did'nt know C3 brakes could be this great
Re: Rear Caliper Air Pumping Problem Fixed... (Paul Borowski)
:iagree:
Same for me.
Had the same problem and also got the discs turned down. Both where OK and not warped.
The O-ring conversion did the trick. No more pumping.
I'm glad I did it this way before going for a bearing replacement as those aren't bad enough to be replaced. ( expensive as well )

Bair's redid the bearings on my '80(well I took the bearing carriers to them and they installed new rear wheel bearings)less than 20,000mi ago so I knew that could'nt be the problem :yesnod:
