Default Trailing Arms 77 coupe

I am currently trying to remove the trailing arms on my car. Not having much luck. Does anyone have any tips for removing the rusty trailing arm bolts. Tried the usuall DW-40 stuff etc. I can easily remove the castelated nuts but not having any luck to get the bolts to break free. I have removed some of rhe shims as well to get more oil in there and tried a breaker bar on the bolt head, but still no luck. Any information would be greatly appreciated. :(

I see a lot of posts about using a Sawzall to cut them out.

:iagree: Sawzall. Use a bimetal blade. Rent it if you don't own one.

Rent a sawzall from either HD or low's. Its no picnic for sure. I spent a day removeing 1 side. If you have gotten the shims out than it may take a lot less time. I had to cut through the shims and the bolt both sides for the pass side arm.. Also don't buy short or very long blades. I think the 9 or 8" blades is what I used. Buy alot of them and oil them sporadically to keep the teeth sharp. I went through 12 blades .

I did this job yesterday. Pull the shims out if you can. This exposes the bolt and shortens your cutting to minutes instead of hours. I spend 2 hours cutting without knowing I was through the bolt. You may have to cut a little first to get a shim out but it is worth it!
