 ya you heard me. Is this legal? I was thinking that the rear seat of a wrangler jeep would fit perfectly between the fenders. You couldnt get an adult back there but two kids no problem. What do you think?
That's a funny idea...the wife and I have been entertaining the idea of having a child and she (not me) said "what about the vette...it's only a 2 seater!" I said "we could always get a convertible '69 Camaro.". I don't think I'll add a bench seat to the back of my vette though!
Another angle would be the Gross vehicle weight issue. The Vette can only carry about 500 lbs or so. With two passangers at say 200# each leaves only 100# for luggage and other things. Not quite enough to add in another seat assembly and two more (small) passangers.
Dear battsup,
Believe it or not, but a bloke here in Australia has done just that with a '79, I think. I have a photo of it somewhere, but not the knowledge to put it on the screen. (check my column on the left). He has seatbelts and one of those chameleon paint schemes . It's not my cup of tea, but different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Guy I bought my vette from had to buy an old camaro because of his family situation
A guy I work with down the hall had a 63 SWC in 66/67 and after they had their 1st baby, he attatched some straps in the back to hold the baby carrier.
I've read my 74 manual and it suggests strapping a basinett in the passenger seat. So the baby can lay in the basinett loose? We're all lucky to still be here after all of the pick up rides etc. :yesnod:
