Trim on '80

I know there was a thread earlier stating that all 80's came with black trim around windows only. Is that true? I have the brushed aluminum. I don't doubt is not original, just am curious. I do like the brushed but will paint the Vette black and black would probably go better than brushed. Either way. :flag

yes, all 80's had black window trim.

Look closely and you should see black paint in the grooves.

Mine was black, but was looking a little worst for wear. I bought the Mid America black anodize trim paint. The catalog claim was it would even stick to chrome if you want to change it over to black.

Anyways I repainted mine with this and now she looks like new and hasnt suffered any chipping of any sort. I think this paint paint is a good deal to restore the trim.
