Default Big block exhaust

I know there's probably a thread with the answer to this question somewhere in an archive, but can anyone tell me where I can find an exhaust system that will work with a big block swap in my '80 c3 ? I've been doing some research into this swap and from all I've read it'll work and be really cool, but the exhaust has me puzzled. One article I read recommended using stock manifolds due to the difficulty I'll have lining up the accessory mounting points, but I don't know if "stock manifolds" even exist because a big block wasn't an option in 1980 ! I'd rather utilize a set of headers thru a true dual system and have an auxilary setup fabricated with a front and rear Y pipe so that I could run the catalytic converter in order to meet emissions (at inspection time) Is this proper reasoning, or is there a better way ? Any advice appreciated.

BB engine setup is same as for other C3 w/ BB. BB Corvette manifolds work fine as do headers though some headers will have some minor fit issues the same as w/ other C3 BB. Hedman headers rec.
The main issue is the crossmember has been changed for your single ex.

You have several different options, Stahl and Hooker super comps are designed for later C3 with BB engine swap. I'm using Stahl's on my 79 with 454. :leaving:

I ran Hooker side exhaust with their headers, as listed under their "C-3 BB engine swap" category. You can also use the stock under-chassis 68-74 BB exhausts if you change the trans. crossmember to the 'duallie'.

P.S.
Corvette America sells a dual exhaust conversion (small block) for the Y-pipe C-3's.

I'd run headers. Your big block will thank you for it down the road. The headers scavenge the exhaust much better than the manifolds. If you do go the exhaust manifold route, you will need Corvette specific exhaust manifolds. For a pair of these if you can find a good deal you are looking at spending around $500. As good as the Corvette exhaust manifolds flow, they don't outflow headers. Depending on how radical your big block is you are looking at a gain of 25-50 horsepower just by switching from exhaust manifolds to headers.
