Default Distributor/Coil Wiring Question

Hi...The two wires on the coil + on a points dist. setup. Can someone tell me where the resistor is. I know it gets 12 volts from the starter sol. when you start it. But it's around 6 volts from the other wire. Where does the other wire originate from so I can bypass the resistor. Switching over to another distributor and want to use the original coil/run + wire.
thanks
Jon

I believe it is the white wire with red/black striping on it that runs from the firewall connector to the + side of the coil. I'll let you know what I hear from 'Lectric Limited. I just sent them an E-mail asking them the same thing. I am installing a new wiring harness from them along with a Pertronix Ignitor II and want to know the best way to bypass this wire without making it look like a Bubba job.
