I want to asure you my American freinds that most of french and english speaking Canadiens our proud and thankfull that you are here to get rid of that evil man Sudam Hussan and to keep the world free and agreat place to live in.
From the bootom of my heart and I speak for the majority of Canadiens THANK-YOU! :seeya
 Its great to hear it! I am tired of seeing many stupid people who just are protesting against the war and hardly know what they are talking about!
Slightly OT, but very funny, check this out... http://brain-terminal.com/video/nyc-2003-02-15/
I didn't really think that video was all that funny,,, more like pathetic!!! These idiots are protesting something that they know absolutely NOTHING about. Most of them were teenie-boppers when the 1st Gulf War was happening. They simply don't remember it. Why don't they remember 9/11 tho??? Must have been a keg party in the dorm or something. They give the French & other chicken-sh?ts an excuse to NOT help out in the war. We are already sending millions of dollars in aid to the Iraqui people, what the F are they doing besides mocking us for protesting our own war (which will help protect people of ALL nations from Saddam, Bin Laden, etc)? BTW, I think the soldier that threw the grenade(s) in the tents & killed/wounded our own troops should be shot for treason, forget a trial in the US.
:mad OK, I'll shut up now.

I have seen lots of stuff said by a lot of Canadians lately. and you are right on the mark. Everyone realizes that any government hardly ever agrees with the people that elected them.
Just keep your fingers crossed that we wipe this scum off of the earth this time.... :mad

If only all the nations could get along as well. All of our thanks and appreciation should go to the men and women that are over there now. :flag
I have talked to quite a few different Canadians on the subject in different forums and it seems that they all share your view with you. I guess leadership doesn't really know what the people want. We're glad you're with us.
I would also like to ask just how it is that people forget Sept. 11th so quickly. I guess I must be more patriotic because I am still just pissed to the core about that. I can get really angry just by thinking about it. I do have to say that protesting the war doesn't bother me near as much as the little bit of protesting and badmouthing the military personel that is going on. That really burns my butt. :mad I'm glad I've only heard of that once since this war began.

:iagree:
Just this past weekend, 200K + people in NY protesting the war. Did they all forget?
I to am very ashamed of our LIBERAL GOVERNMENT who claim to speak for the CANADIAN people , i and many many others support the USA in the war to distroy this dictator. No one has killed more MOSLUMS than SADDAM but you don't hear that from the middle east news reporters covering the war do you ?Why is it that the protestors always seem to be on the west and east coasts and not the HEART land? All my prayers are for the coalilition troops and a hope that this war will end quickly . Dave :flag
I listen to talk radio shows from Toronto,Hamilton and London and 90%+ of the callers backed our friends from the USA. :flag I cringe every time I hear our primeminister and the lackies in the liberal party say something against the USA.And now Swean Robinson of the NDP wants to have party members heckel George Bush when he comes to Canada in may to speak in parlament.Maybe when George is done with sadam he can help us get ridd of our dictator.
The most eye opening story I have heard about all of this is a story from a jewish journalist from the UK I beleive that went over to Bagdad to be a human shield. He got over there and did some photo ops with the Iraqi government and started talking to the Iraqi citizens about how he is there to protest the morally wrong war against Saddam.
He was surprised when many of the people started to tell him privately how horrible the Saddam regime has been with killing etcc.. and that they were glad the war is on and they only want to see Saddam gone.
He was also telling his story to a cab driver and the cabbie said he first though saddam had paid him to come to Iraq to protest for the government. After the cabbie learned the UK guy came on his own free will, the cabbie couldnt believe him and began to tell him the same story of how they mostly just want Saddam gone and are glad that the US is there to take care of him. The cabbie then began begging the Uk guy to help him to escape from Iraq.
Anyways now the UK journalist sees how wrong he was trying to defend a dictator that was killing many of his own people and has put his story to the media.
This was on the radio today in Minneapolis on a station that has like a 80%-90% market share for morning radio, KQRS. More of these protesting wussies should hear these kind of stories.
To all my American friends, make no mistake about it, Jean Cretien and his decision to not participate in the liberation of Iraq does not represent the will of the Canadian people in the least. Canadian soldier have fought next to our American cousins ever since the first World War, they have been to hell and back and if it were the peoples will our soldiers would be standing side by side with our American cousins today, I also know that if September 11th attacks had happened north of the boarder the United States would have been the first country to come to Canada's aid (and they would not have to be asked), and there would be not questions as to who would be at our side as we went to repay the people responsible. So it with a sad heart I apologize for our lack of participation in this just and honorable quest that the United States has bravely taken on her shoulders.
I also send my heartfelt regrets to The American people for there loss of several brave American Soldiers, Marines, and Air Force pilots whom may still be alive if politicians had been put aside and the people of Canada and the other countries of the U.N. had stood togeather and confronted the threat as a unified force, maybe, just maybe Saddam Hussein would have reconsidered taking on the world.
i work in radio...one of our street reporters went to a protest and started interviewing a young lady holding a sign that said "this war is racist" -- julia kept asking her, "why is this war racist" -- she (young girl) couldn't answer  - she asked her two or three times, and you just hear these long pauses each time...hilarious :yesnod: -- goes to show you that most of these protesters are clueless -- i heard another interview and a protester said that he would "much rather have saddam as a leader than bush" -- made me steaming :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad -- dumbys
