Default Electrical Advice Please

The connector for the turn signal wires on my '71 is just about had it. While I have the column out I thought I might replace it. Rather buy a whole new turn signal assembly I want to find a replacement connector (and not an original as I can't even get the wires out of the plastic without destroying it.) So I'm just going to lop off the wires.

I really don't want to splice each wire with a butt connector. So does anyone sell a set of connectors that you can wire directly to. I don't mind replacing the dash side of the connector either. Or maybe a block that will accept sets of spade connectors.

I didn't see anything in Jegs or Summit but I may have overlooked them.

Thanks

One solution you might want to consider is RadioShack # 274-680. $1.99. It is a plastic terminal strip that you can silicone to the steering column. It gives good insulation, easy connection and disconnection and seperation of wires. All you have to do is strip the wire ends - tin the ends with solder to be professional  . You can also cut the strip down the center and insert both leads into the same hole making it even more compact. I find them extemely handy. Dale

:iagree:

Radio shack would probably handle something along those lines.
