how much and where to get sidepipe covers for 60's style pipes? might have a found a deal on set of pipes only and don't want to gete stuck needing another 700 dollars for them to look right
You have 2 choices really.
Option 1. >The factory reproductions go for around $2200.They all come from one place and thats Paragon. Zip , Corvette Central ,Cranes all sell them (cheapest I found was $1890 + shipping) You can scan ebay or the like for used, but they still fetch quite a high premium.
Option 2.> is the fiberglass "copies". These go for about $250. You can paint them either to match your car or with some aluminum and satin black to replicate the chrome/black look of the originals.
thanks, where can you get them for $250, they are 300 in mid america catalog, I think that is the way I'll go. also what brands and where to get the paint for them?
Maybe it was $270...not $250...I think I bought mine from Zip, used a 10% discount they where running at the time. You get 5% off if you order them from this forum.
I used VHT "chrome" paint and krylon "semi-flat" black to paint mine. Took a while to mask them all out...but came out nice.
