Do you guys ever look at your car while you are restoring\rebuilding it and get to the point where you don't know what to do next?
Here is a list of things that have been done to my car but I don't know where to go from here.
Rebuilt suspension.
Painted
carpet
frame cleaned and painted
trailing arms rebuilt
rear gear replaced
Dash back in except tach and speedo coming next weekend.
Block fully machined
new crank

My dilema is what should I work on. finish the interior, put the windsheild in work on motor? The car show is coming up this weekend at Charlotte motor speedway and I have a $300 dollar budget I just don't know what to buy because at this point there is so much that I need. :cry Do you guys ever feel like this and how do you get through it? I guess it really doesn't matter what I do I just need to decide. :nopity

Good idea but it is still a little to cold right now and I can't control the temp in the garage. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Just stay focused on the car as a whole, it will become very clear to you on what to do next, by way of your own logic / monies.

Spend when you can, do what you can, and let the rest fall to a secondary stage. Make a list, which you have, and prioritize it to what is most important to you. Just don't throw the list away until after the show or it's completion.

My life is like that!! I have no idea what else to begin with that car. I just finished putting together a new engine and I can't get it running quite right. I've been tinkering with other small stuff at the same time but, it gets frustrating having so much work and so little money!! But, DAMN IT"S FUN!!!!!

I have to do it just like that Johnny Cash song, "one piece at a time.." If I look at everything that I want to do in a big lump then I get discouraged easily.

Hey BlackRat, dont get discouraged. You have to do what you can, when you can. As time, money, and knowhow limits us all. Keep your head up. Sounds like you have got quite a bit done already. I dont know if this will help or not, but, take a look at my project and see what all i've yet to get done.

I guess what im trying to say is it could be a lot worse brother. Keep up the good work.
