Default T-Top headliners differences?

Okay, I bought a replacement set of t-top headliners for my '77. Got them from ebay, and the seller said that they were "date coded early '76, and are of the first design style(cutouts not tapered)." What does this mean? The seller listed them as replacements for a 68-77.

The point being is that they don't fit my '77. The top outside corners overlap onto the metal where the t-tops bolt to the car.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!
Boom

Boomer,
There are 3 "generations of T-Top liners:
68 thru Early 76
Late 76 thru 77
78 thru 82
Sounds as though you have a set of Early 76 liners.
Hope this helps.

Aw nuts.

So I get the feeling that finding a set of '77s is going to be pretty tough. HAs anyone modified a set of 68-E76 to fit a 76L-77?

Thanks,
Boom
