Default How much fuel line needed?

I want to run a new supply line to the front of my car from the tank. The regulator is mounted to the firewall. How much will I need??
Im gonna use some braided line and make my setup all AN fittings so I get the best flow possible since my 3/8 stuff is restricted down to 1/4 inch cause of the current fittings....im gonna upgrade to 8AN. :)

I just checked some of the prices of the hose and fittings....man this stuff is expensive! I'm gonna use the super stock hose by Earl's Perf.

Whatever type fittings you use, You will need unrestricted 3/8 tubing.

Paul, will 8AN hose be as good as 3/8 tubing since the I.D. of 8AN is 1/2" and still bigger than 3/8" inside the fittings? .44 according to Earl's.

anyone have any ideas about the length ill need?

just get the 20 ft lenght. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...art=-8+braided
i ran the -10 with a -8 return and had maybe 3ft left over.
it's better to have too much that too little. putting a union on the line to make it longer would be kinda "hack"

thanks jroddvette.... i kinda was thinking for the 20 since my NOS line is 14 or 16 and barely makes it

do you think my setup (8an to holley black pump, 8an to regulator, and 6an to each carb bowl inlet and another 6an to fuel solenoid on nitrous, and a 6an return) would be sufficient enough for the carb and nitrous system?

if you dont mind me asking....where exactly did you run the lines?? along the frame? over the half shafts, etc anything that would be helpful in running the lines, I would really appreciate it!!
Thanks alot!
Chris

BTW....i really love your hood....isnt that the one from carhoods.com? i was also looking at one from vanacor's that is "2 1/4" higher than stock, but i want one just like your as far as height. looks great!!

74vette. that fuel system sounds good, just make sure it maintains a constant fuel pressure.
i ran my lines right with the factory lines. i figured if chevrolet felt that they are safe there than it would be the best way.
i ordered my hood from "american sports car design" its a nice hood with a sealed cowl induction.
will you be going to the carteck corvette challenge at raceway park this weekend?
nice bike, i've got a 99 zx9r.
