how do I get at the upper trans cooler hose?

how do I get at the upper trans cooler hose?
Mine are leaking, I peaked under the car and saw where they both attach to the metal lines that run back to the transmisssion. One attaches near the bottom of the rad, the other disappears out of sight.. How far up the rad? Better to go at it from the top and start ripping stuff out until I see it? What should I remove from my 79? Any help would be appreciated again, this looks like it disappears into a black hole! :eek:

I did mine last year when I had the radiator and support out.
Its very tight and can be accessed from the bottom.
Its easier if u loosen the radiator shroud so you have some movement.
Its not hard to do but u will find the extra 1/2" it gives you is well worth while.

Thanks Tippi, I'll give that a try. Unfortunately, I've been blessed (cursed is more appropriate while working on Vettes) with big hands :nonod:
