Default Canes Electronic Point Conversion

Any one use the new Cane's Electronic Point Conversion Kit? How does it compare to the Pertronix system?

I just bought the crane xr-i conversion. But the car is not running the way I like it to - so until I get it resolved I won't install the crane.

However when I do, I will post my thoughts.

One advantage is you don't have to shim the distributer (if needed) like the Petronix unit. Therefore you don't need to pull the distributer to install it

Did you also get the coil or are you using your original? Where did you get you XR-i and what is the cost.

I bought it at Jegs $69.99 or close to it. I originally had the Petronix installed with their Flamer Thrower coil. I plan on using that coil with the Crane.
