Engine rotation
OK.. the cam is in.. the dial indicator set up on the intake lifter on number one.. TDC obtained and degree wheel ready.. all fired up and then.. duh... what is the normal rotation of a small block .. DUH :hat

I would have said counter-clockwise..........as I always use reference of RH/LH, as when I'm sitting in drivers seat. Setting timing BEFORE top dead center/advancing timing always moves the timing mark up on the balancer and toward the passenger side, and would think that mean engine is turning counter clockwise.

Isn't it clockwise at the front pulley and the distributor ?

Youv'e got the distributor right unless your underneath the car looking up. But if your in the drivers seat....oh well. :(
