Alot of people buy wrecked 74/75 and updated the body to that of 80-82. thats probably the cheapest way if you do all the work yourself. and if you get 74 those pesky emissions wont be an issue. Right Steve? :lol:

Yep, had an 81 that a previous owner had made into a convertible. I did the Edlebrock thing to it after making it a 355, repainted it triple black, and sold it at Bloomington Gold. It looked great, was a dream to drive, and got lot's of comments at cruise-ins. Sold it to a guy in Alabama. I hope it is still on the road and makin him happy! :auto: :steering:

O.K...here goes what I have, birdcage from the original 1973, 1977 frame, 1980 body and interior,1970 engine with 1968 tranny. The front suspension is from the 1980 while the rear suspension is from the original 1973. My car is titled as a 1973. Now you know why my user name is Frankenvette :lol:
