I need proof that this was a hijack, and not just a free post... :D
I cannot prove that it was a hi jack, only that it is not a free post. A free post would be more like this one. No real point, just insane ramblings. :D

LOL!
Sorry guys, I was out of town for a couple of days... I just returned from the NCRS Regional meet at Stone Mountain, GA. Had a chance to see Paul Borowski's new 1968 L-79 coupe... Beautiful car! I won't steal any of Paul's thunder and go into any details as I'm sure that Paul will post those at a later date.
Also saw a couple of really low mileage cars... 9,000 mile 1969 L-71 coupe... 2,600 mile 1972 LT-1 convertible... 4 mile LS-5 coupe... All very neat cars to examine.
As for your email Doug, I haven't started to go through my mail yet, but I'll try to respond to it later today.
Actually, all of the 1968-1972 cars (cars that I had the opportunity to look at in detail) that were judged were first rate cars.
While there were cars in attendance with lower mileage, I felt that Paul's '68 had the best original paint out of all four cars that were up for Bowtie consideration. Corvette paint work was generally not all that good and while it is possible to massage original paint (or some other area) to bring it more in line with the quality we see on cars today, it really is not representative of what was done by St. Louis when these cars were built. I give Paul a lot of credit for realizing what the Bowtie award is intended to acknowledge and leaving the car "as is".
Regarding the 4 mile LS-5, it had the best original interior of any 30+ year old car that I have ever seen... Period. Absolutely amazing...
Probably one of the neatest cars there wasn't being flight judged... A 1970 LT-1 convertible (Laguna gray/black vinyl/white top) was registered as a Sportsman entry. Very cool car... Very original car with a few tweaks like the 1969 style side exhaust... The owner was very cool as well. Reminded me a lot of my first Corvette... A 1970 LT-1 convertible with side exhaust and Crager SST wheels.

Stan, you can steal all the thunder you want-if I said what you did about my '68 it'd be like bragging, besides YOU probably know the car I bought better than I do myself :lolg: Thanks for all the great comments about it, it was a long 14hrs getting "Sylvester" home :lolg:
