Emerency brake cover question
I bought a new emergency brake cover today and I am really getting aggrevated with some Corvette vendors with so called experts who travel the show circuit. He handed me the brake cover and said here you go. Imediately I noticed that it did not have the PW holes. I told hime sorry I need the one for PW's. He showed me the back of the console and said you just need to cut them out. Sure enough I saw the cutouts for the pw switches and thought cool no problem. I get the thing home and now realize that yeah the cutouts are there BUT WHAT HOLDS THE SWITCHES IN PLACE! :mad Have any of you bought one of these and had to mount the switches?
On a separate note. I also found out that the salvage guy at the car show didn't know what he was talking about when he said the rear quarter trim peices were the same for 68-75. So all in all this weekend has been a bad experience for working on my Vette. I guess it is my fault for not educating myself better.
Sorry for the rant. :smash:

We bought a new ebrake cover for our 73. We have power windows. The part came with the holes already cut out. The switches are mounted to a metal plate that bolts to the mounting studs with those stampted type speed nuts. The switch mounting plate is a different part and not included with the cover. Thats my guess.
