Best epoxy?
What is the best and strongest epoxy to use for fixing plastic? I need someting strong to bond some plastic dowls into the under side of my E-brake cover for mounting pw switches.

We have experimented with all kinds of epoxies at work. Best by far and away is an epoxy we bought at a little hardware. I think it's called PC-7. It comes in two small red and black cans. One can has gray putty-like part A and the other has black putty-like part B. It sticks to everything like snot(that's a good thing) and is moldable like clay for an hour. Over the years, it's never failed. I always scuff up smooth surfaces to give it something to stick to.

I have repaired EBrake covers with West System Epoxy and Powder very successfully. In fact the one in my '69 has one of the console plate corners totally replaced with some West mix and it is stronger than I even expected! If you have access to someone who has the epoxy and the bonding/filleting powder, you CAN REBUILD IT!!
