Whoa! What a tune-up!!!
In the two years that I've had my '79, I never replaced the plugs, wires, cap or rotor. Well yesterday I put in an Accel SuperStock Coil, Accel Cap and Rotor, new plug wires, and new AC Delco plugs. What a difference in performance! Idles better, takes off the line better, pulls harder at high speed. Why didn't I do this sooner? Also found out that if you pull the distributor boot off of the plug wires you can gently push them down through the motor mounts on the front four cylinders, and they'll find their own way to the back of the motor through those little troughs on the block. What a great Weekend!!!! :cheers:

A Good Tune Up is definately time well spent..For the cost of a few parts..you can actually perk up a tired car and make it come to life again not to mention the few extra miles per gallon from a well tuned engine. Great way to spend a weekend morning and then in the afternoon...you reap the benefits of your labor..Yeee Haaaaaa....Crusin.. :steering: :flag
