A friend just bought a C3 and asked this question:
"....does the '70 350/350 L46 have an aluminum radiator? It seems that some '70s did, maybe only big blocks. Is there a way to distinguish visually without removing the unit?"
if it's anything like '69 (which it should be) then it should have a 26" core copper radiator. Very early '69 L-46 cars had the aluminum radiators, but then they transitioned to the larger copper unit.
Then again, they may have switched back. Any '70 folks out there?
My car originally had the L46 engine, and it has the copper/brass radiator with no expansion tank. As I recall, I looked through my GM Restoration Package, and found that the base engine was the only one that had the aluminum radiator with the expansion tank in 1970.
