Need some help here guys, I am a C5 guy, but have a friend that just purchased a 79' with the L48, and he is wanting to know the specs on the motor. Can anyone direct me to where I might find the specs? Thanks!
As far as an off-line refrence the Chilton's repair manual for them have some specs. Mine states that for a 79 it has: 195hp@4000 torque: 285@3200 bore and stroke 4.000 x 3.480 compression ratio: 8.2 : 1
If that's what you mean by specs, I'm sure others will have online refrence material.

I guess your question has already been answered, but if you need more info on the '79, head on over to the registry. While you're there, why not sign up?
