Default HELP! Nightmare with wiper system

It's been 4 months and 4 different shops, one rebuilt motor, new switch,
new wiper door activator relay, master switch, and 3 different wiper trouble shooter manuals.

We took it to another auto elec. repair shop today.
This person says that my motor is good, but the wrong one for that year,
the one I have now has 6 wires (early model), he wants the
late model with 4 wires. I bought it from Ecklers in Dec. and they will not
accept returns after 90 days.

What's your suggestions with Eckler, and does anyone know if there is such a thing... early and late wiper motor for the '68?
Where else can I call for another one? (hopefully a vender who knows about the wiper system).
It's like a horror movie so far, with me in it. So many bugs, one after another. I haven't taking it for a cruise yet. I bought it in Oct. last year,
and I paid top $ for this one. Had the car professonally checkout before the purchase, and was rated at a 9 or a 10.
He must have had it backwards..10 been the worse.

Eckler's sales and customer service was a great help today.
They will re-place my wiper motor plus S/H charges.

I guess that is why I haven't tackled my wipers yet! What did you expect, you own a 68!!?? But what has kept you from taking the car for a cruise? I have put several thousand miles on my car - I just try not to drive in the rain, but carry Rainx just in case! :) MJ

Glad to hear Eklers helped you out. I have found if I dont find the answer here (which would be highly unusual) I have posted the question on the NCRS board and have been helped there.

Crack wind sheild, broken trans. mount, motor mount, all the rear bushings, tires.. one was so bad that it was scary, complete tune up, all the belts and hoses has to be changed, water pump, batt. was getting dain in a day, vaccum didn't work for the head lights, all the cluster was apart waiting for wiper problem to be repair...wires were hanging out of every where, even the seats weren't bolted down.
Would you have gone cruiseing w/ this car? Am I suppose to expect this from a '68, then I should have gone with the ZR-1 or the '96GS. I had this two cars almost closed, just a matter of sending them the check, but I bought this one.
I expected a car to be better then this, rated at a 9 or a 10. Wouldn't you?
