Groovy
Great job, thanks for all the trouble. I registered and when I got on the site I noticed that the green vet with License# LTS VET was mine. If you look in May edition of Vette mag, you will see it again, page 40-43 (Just had to brag a little). Thanks again....Larry
Good to have you on board Larry! I've got the May issue of Vette, and I must say your car is one of the finest 79s or even C3s out there! Howbout making a June's Car of The Month feature of it?
Re: *** 1979 Corvette Registry is Now OPEN!!! *** (Gary79)
I registered mine yesterday. in reviewing the registration list, the first member listed with the last five digits of the VIN being "00001" should be contacted, he has his build date as the 4th month. something is amiss here. either the VIN # or the month the car was built in. I think this affects the credibility of the registry, which is basically the whole point of a registry. IMHO
thanks groovy jay!
Good to have you with us Gary! I contacted the guy with the 00001 VIN and I'm hoping to hear from him soon. It would be  to have number 1 listed on the registry!
Re: *** 1979 Corvette Registry is Now OPEN!!! *** (Chris@VetteFinders)
Just looked at it again Jay. I must say that the site is looking great. The only recommendation I have is maybe resize your thumbnails. They are really big files. Also, you may want to present them dynamically and not static html.
EXCELLENT work!
Thanks Chris, I will resize the images as soon as possible, I just hate moving around between different countries, don't seem to have to time for much else nowadays
Re: *** 1979 Corvette Registry is Now OPEN!!! *** (ltinnell)
Thanks guys for the comments. UPDATE: we have now our first "79 of the month". So everybody go and check out who it is....!!!! It turned out that the 0001 wasn't the actual first 79, and it has now been modified. I'm still working on the avatar, I'm supposed to have one big project ready by the end of this week, so stay tuned for some avatar models early next week.
As for next months (June) contact me via email if you would like to see you car featured.

Do you have it hosted somewhere online or is it just on your hard drive? If it is on your hard drive send it to me via email and I will put it on the 79registry and give you the url so you can use it here.
Re: *** 1979 Corvette Registry is Now OPEN!!! *** (groovyjay)
Thanks for putting my 1979 up there as '79 of the month. Very much appreciated! I just got my car out of winter storage and installed my original and Peltonized steering wheel this afternoon. This morning was my first ride since October. Wow.......I love it when a Corvette purrs. Even after six months storage this car just humms. Love it. Thanks again. I admire very much the effort you have put into the registry!
All the Best,
Paul
*Edit*-Just a bit of trivia. You cannot find the correct crossed flags emblem for the horn button anywhere! As you see I have a 1980 on mine. But thanks to Chuck Pelton for that wonderful job on the leather wheel wrap. Really looks very nice.

Good to hear from you Paul, I've had few people emailing me about your car, they've been  how good a 79 can look. So what is the rumor you getting a c2 and selling your 79 about?
Re: *** 1979 Corvette Registry is Now OPEN!!! *** (groovyjay)
I have purchased a 1967 Goodwood Green coupe. But I do not recall ever saying I was selling my 1979! A lot of blood, sweats and tears (and $s) has gone into that car and it would take serious money to pry it out of my hands. And as people generally do not take 1979s seriously, that will probably never happen.
The 1979 is appraised at $27,500CDN or about $18,000-19,000US. When I posted the appraisal last September it was pooh-poohed. So I just abandoned the "value of a 1979" discussions....
Re: *** 1979 Corvette Registry is Now OPEN!!! *** (paul79)
:hurray:  Wow, that must be a dream come true, at least it would be for me. 67 and pristine 79. Congrats Paul on the purchase. I was also wondering if you would like to have a Tech/Help section in 79 registry? I mean you have done soo many projects on your car, you know it throughout and if you have the time it would be great to have some tech articles added to the registry!
Re: *** 1979 Corvette Registry is Now OPEN!!! *** (groovyjay)
I would be willing to contribute to such a section. No problem! I am taking a couple of months off work in the summer so will have time to do more than I have in the past.
Re: *** 1979 Corvette Registry is Now OPEN!!! *** (groovyjay)
