RTV on Trailing Arm Pivot Bolt??
Gonna re-install the trailing arms, and was told to put anti-sieze on the pivot bolts to help avoid a future nightmare like what I just went through getting them out. However, I've become a real believer in using RTV as a bolt dressing (a great suggestion I picked up on the Forum), and wonder if that would be better than using anti-sieze in this application. Any thoughts/experience would be appreciated.

RTV does absolutely nothing to prevent rust unless there is a completely airtight seal that could never be compromised - not the case with trailing arms. In fact, RTV can CAUSE rust/corrosion problems.
The best setup is SS bolts/shims and antisieze as lube/corrosion protection.
