When you balance the assembly I knwo that you need the crank, rods, pistons(off rods), Balancer, flywheel, 1 main bearing, 1 rod bearing, 1 set of rings. My question is do they need the pressure plate?
Re: Balancing the rotating assembly question (BlackRat)
I don't think so, the last couple I had balanced they just wanted what you listed. I think the pressure plate is neutral balanced from the manufacture.

My shop asked for all the above ---pressure plate was not included. The connecting rods and pistons had already been fitted. I'd ask them what you need to bring.
Re: Balancing the rotating assembly question (1970 Stingray)
Thanks for the info guys. The reason Iasked is I talked to a guy that balances machinery of all kinds and he said he could balace my assembly and he included the PP. However when I picked up my block from the machinist yesterday I asked him and he said he didn't need the PP. I am a little gun shy with using the machinist again since it took him almost 7 months to finish my block.
1970 Stingray,
I know you have been asked this a million times but what size wheel and tire combo do you have?
