Kickdown cable on 81
I had my vette out today and when I am cruesing around in third and I wanted to pass someone I would accelerate but it didn't feel as if the car was down shifting, by the way it's an automatic Turbo 350. The detent cable or Kickdown cable (I think it is called both) is supposed to perform this task for me, right? Someone at work told me it could be adjusted, is this true? If this is true and it can be adjusted from what I have discribed does it sound like mine needs to be adjusted? and how can I adjust it where is it on an 81? :confused:
