Default Heater removal on 74

Has anyone had to remove the heater core on a 74 with air? The instructions in the shop manual doesn's seem to match up with what I see as the back of the heater inside the engine compartment. Anyway, any thoughts would be helpful.

I haven't replaced the heater core without removing the AC box (under the hood) at the same time, but I don't think it's necesary.
You need to remove the passenger side lower dash panel, and the kick panel forward of the console at the passenger foot well. There are several bolts holding the heater box in place, a couple are hard to see and I think require the removal of some of the air ducts. Don't forget to remove the heater hoses before trying to remove the heater as well.
Do you have specific questions or issues? It's been awhile since I did this with all the ducts in place, can't remember a lot of detail.
