Default Replacing my carb, what will match?

Okay, so the car is almost on the road. Had the stock q-jet rebuilt, but I was told I should put something like a Holley 650 on it. Here's the details of the specs of my engine. What do you guys think will be a good replacement for my q-jet?

The total rundown on the car is as follows:

Parts Total: $1928.65

Labour Details/Costs for Short Block Assy:

I have some other costs I haven't itemized as of yet that includes the install of the engine, the new electric fan, and misc hardware including a new battery for $1100, and the final total from the machine shop including the carb rebuild is $1193. I probably have another 2-300 in miscellaneous engine parts, so that comes to $2593 there.

Rebuild Total: $7805.69 CDN or $5308.39 US

Get a second opinion on the carb replacement. If the carb has a good rebuild, you should be able to tune it with the help of Lars. Drop him a line with the info you list in your thread. I did and I am very pleased with the results. Lars has helped me to dial in my carb performance with the replacement of the main jets, primary metering rods and secondary metering rods (after he performed an excellent rebuild).

Unless you are generating 500hp, I'd say save your money and tune that q-jet. It's good for 795cfm! :seeya

650dp gets my vote. dont really need a 750 for a 350 cu engine. Im usin a holley600 vac sec and its plenty enough for my setup. i jetted up one size in the primarys and 3 sizes in the secondaries as well as using the lightest sec spring for a sooner opening.
