Hello all. I am in the process of restoring a 1980 with a ZZ4. I bought it about 8 months ago, and just completed the interior, body and paint. First question: I removed all trim, eblems, lights, etc. before I had it painted, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get the parking light assembly back in. If I remember right, it screws in from the front and can be removed from the rear. However, I cant get all four tabs on the assembly in front of the section to which it attaches. Any tips/closeup pics? Also, the 2-piece stainless steel trim on the door (window trim) does not seem to line up right. Does anyone have any closeup pics of the trim- especially the end that is closest to the door handle- does the inner piece go on top or underneath the lip? Any help would be great. I only have occasional access to the forum, so if someone responds and I don't get back to you, its cause Im not near my computer.
Welcome ! I'm re-doing my '80 as well. I just got the engine and transmission working correctly and haven't begun the painting phase yet. Your're welcome to come by and take a look see anytime.

Re: new to forum/ 2 quick ?s (bhblue80)
Hmmm dunno about the :hat door trim. Let's try the lights though. The screws from the front side hold the cup on the back side. Correct? Not to state the oddvious but is it possible that you have the cups mixed up with the other ones? Am I wayy off track? Tell me.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Paul, I thought about that too, but they are on the correct side. When the shop painted the car, they removed the bumper cover and re-fit it, so maybe this is why the lights wont go in right?
Needforspeed2, thanks, I may take you up on that. I think I got the window trim right, but still no luck with the parking light assembly.
