L-82 intake manifold
i was thinking of changing the standard L-48 intake manifold on my '79, for an L-82 aluminium one... Admittedly, mainly because it looks nicer... But is the L-82 item actually any different performance wise?.. is it better than the standard item, or just lighter?

They are basically the same. If you are doing it for appearnce, go get a can of high temp alum paint and shoot the manifold. You will have to mask off a few things and remove the carb. I have used the spray paint to spruce up old aluminum manifolds.
