O/T AIR COMPREEOR
Here is an air compressor that is on sale ,can you tell me if its a good one for my garage. The spec's are 26 gallon 5 hp peak motor ,125 max psi ,single cylinder belt driven ,cast iron, oil lubricated Campbell Hausfeld ,its on for 549.99 canadian

It will work. BUT ..............
IMO you want to get the biggest tank you have room for. you also have to pay more attention to CFM (cubic feet per minute) ratings and match your compressor to the tools you will be using. some of the HVLP spray guns require 12 - 15 CFM where most hand tools (impact, ratchet) fall into the 4 - 8 CFM fange. last note stay away from oiless compressors and if you can, get a 240 (220) volt unit.

Hi Steve this compressor is at canadian tire i think i will go and see what the cfm is ,i don't have 220 in the garage and no easy way of getting it there either.What i want is a compressor to run air tools and maybe a small sand blaster .

Went and took a look and it is 5.5scfm at 40 psi ,i think it is to small but they did have a 60 gallon at 11cfm 220 volts ,now if i can figure out how to get 220 to my garage. :banghead:

Price Club has 60 gallon, twin cylinder 220 volt 5 hp for in the $650 range. That was my first air compressor and I liked it. Ended up giving it to my son and getting a 80 gallon triple instead.

If you don't have a Price club membership and want to just go a look before getting someone with a membership to go with you just go in the left side where everyone is comming out with their purchases. This is the food area and no one will stop you then cut through the check out counters and you are in the store without going past the girl at the enterance checking memberships.
