Default Will CorvetteForum Ever be Mac friendly again?????

I know this question has been asked before but the problem is really getting old . Ever since the move to the new servers and the redesign me and my Mac buddies have found the site just about useless. Way to slow and crashes your computer on every other topic. Has anyone figured out a work around for this?

I have a hell of a time viewing the forum from the Macs at work, either with netscape or explorer. Locks the computer up for about five minutes every time I try to load a forum page. Don't know what operating system is on 'em.

Make sure you have the latest version of the browser you are using. I believe the forum is using features that some older browsers do not support correctly. This could definately cause problems.

I'm running a dual 1Ghz G4 on OSX 10.2.1 and using Safari & Internet Exploder, both seem fine, Nutscrape is still a giant RAM hog and painfully slow. If you are using Safari make sure you have the latest update, it's much nicer. I just want someone to shoot that damn menu up top!

How can you say NO to them? They are so cute... :hat

I have this guy in my office:

and this guy with me 24 hr/day:

BTW, my old 233 MHz iMac beats lots of "Pentiums" with "higher numbers". It's not about numbers, it's about overall performance! :D

Oh yeah, on the subject, I've been using Nutscrape with java - script turned off to see the forum. It works alright...

Nothing wrong with a Mac, as long as you are using OS X since it's UNIX based. I would like a Mac, except I'd remove it's internals and put PC ones in and take it to a LAN party and have everyone laugh until I boot into Windows and they will all think "what the heck?" Muhahaha.

I'm using OSX and IE and it works fine on the forum. I can't use my forum web page though. It won't let me upload, download, delete files, or any of that. All I can do is look. Any fix for this coming in the future moderators?????

When I use Safari the forum shows up as about 9 feet wide and I need to scroll side to side a LONG ways to see it all. It works on other pages though. I don't get it.

Justin- download the latest version, I had that problem with the first release but with the new one the forum looks fine. The new version has a nice feature, tabs like the new netscape has. The only pages I've had trouble with in Safari have used layers.

My OSX and Explorer 5.0 at home smokes. For some reason the MAC version of Explorer way outperforms my 6.0 version (on my pentium 4 Dell) here at work. I quit using Netscape a while ago...
